In Ynglet, you play as a jellyfish-like creature. It lives in a floating bubble with its friends. Unfortunately, a comet crashes into its home and the friends are launched across the world. Now, Ynglet has to travel the world to find its lost friends and help them back home.
The story is explained through a short cutscene with no dialog or text. It offers an easy to understand motivation for getting through the levels. A lot of fun visuals and interactions are also possible since every friend looks and behaves differently, and got themselves stuck in different situations.
In Ynglet you’ll jump between bubbles that float in the sky like you’re a space dolphin, as you melt into a highly reactive and dynamic soundtrack created by Ynglet’s custom (and needlessly complicated) music software!
Meet the Makers:
“We have published one, Spitkiss, a cute + gross love platformer. Currently, we are working on Welcome to Elk and Ynglet both to be released in 2020. Also, we don’t do a crunch and try our best to make the game industry a better place – you can find our employee handbook online with all the details on that.”
