Phantom Doctrine had twice the team and twice the time as CFG’s previous turn-based tactical game – Hard West. Somehow PD and HW share almost exact same metascore and userscore, although PD is bigger and better polished.

This talk untangles intricate design problems within Phantom Doctrine and provides answers how similar problems can be avoided in any system-heavy game.
