The talk will be about RIOT: Civil Unrest, what went into making my first game, and the main differences that I learned between simulation and game design. The talk will go in depth on how I approached the game feel, how I designed the characters and randomization, and how I kept the original feeling alive through personal experiences and research on the subject.
