Hendrik Lesser

Hendrik Lesser is managing director of the Munich based production house remote control productions (rcp). Since 2005, Hendrik and his team at rcp have been gradually building a family of development studios throughout Europe. They picked them up at an early stage and developed them into what they are today. The best example of this is the Angry Birds Epic developer, Chimera Entertainment, which started as a student team and now has more than 60 employees in the center of Munich.

Beyond this he works on the cultural, academic and political acceptance of video games as an important part of nowadays society. His roles as a jury member of the German Developer Award and executive board member of the non-profit association Videospielkultur e.V. as well as leading positions in european, national and regional industry associations as well as giving lectures at universities like TU Munich and the Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film are dedicated to that goal.

Before his game industry career Hendrik studied politics and philosophy which he both quit to move into the industry faster. So he joined Take2 Interactive as an intern and worked his way up to Development Manager. After this nicely paid education he started building up the rcp family.
