After completing her master’s degree in Game Design, Sonja is currently working at the Zurich University of the Arts as a game artist and scientific researcher. There she develops various Applied Games such as a motor-cognitive training game for multiple scleroses patients, a detective game that is playable only on a train ride through Switzerland, and a chat game to flirt with the exhibits of a historical museum.
Her personal research focuses on arthouse games and new fields of game design. She explores the potential of translating human experiences in playable systems to uncover the underlying structure of our perceived world. In her game prototype „SHAVE“ she showcases the evaluated patterns on the culture around the shaving of body hair.
